 Introduced  by  Sen. SANDERS -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation
 
 AN ACT to amend the transportation law, in relation to requiring bomb or
   blast resistant garbage receptacles in facilities of common carriers
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  The transportation law is amended by adding a new section
 113 to read as follows:
   § 113. BOMB  RESISTANT  GARBAGE  RECEPTACLES.  1.  EVERY  CORPORATION,
 PERSON  OR  COMMON  CARRIER  PERFORMING  A SERVICE DESIGNATED IN SECTION
 NINETY-FIVE OF THIS ARTICLE, SHALL ONLY FURNISH, WITH RESPECT TO FACILI-
 TIES THERETO, BOMB OR BLAST RESISTANT GARBAGE RECEPTACLES.
   2. THE MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS OF THE BOMB OR BLAST  RESISTANT  GARBAGE
 RECEPTACLES  SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE NEW YORK STATE DIVISION OF HOME-
 LAND SECURITY AND EMERGENCY SERVICES.
   § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after
 it shall have become a law.
