SOLAGES -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to ensuring ovarian cancer survivors have the right to access screenings for health condi- tions THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The public health law is amended by adding a new section 2404-e to read as follows: § 2404-E. OVARIAN CANCER; RIGHT TO SCREENINGS. NO PERSON WITH A PERSONAL HISTORY OF OVARIAN CANCER SHALL BE DENIED GENETIC TESTING OR GENOMIC TUMOR PROFILING FOR INHERITED GERMLINE MUTATIONS AND ACQUIRED SOMATIC MUTATIONS, RESPECTIVELY. IN GENERAL, SUCH TESTING SHALL NOT BE SUBJECT TO FREQUENCY CAPS OR OTHER LIMITATIONS AND SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO: (A) GENETIC MUTATIONS IN BRCA1 AND BRCA2 GENES; (B) GENETIC MUTATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH LYNCH SYNDROME; (C) REARRANGEMENT ANALYSIS OF ALL CODING EXONS ASSOCIATED WITH OVARIAN CANCER; AND (D) ADDITIONAL MUTATIONS IF MEDICALLY NECESSARY AND APPROPRIATE, AS DETERMINED BY THE HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL TREATING THE INDIVIDUAL. § 2.
