PAULIN, ABINANTI -- read once and referred to the Committee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to adding "embryo" to the definition of "tissue" for purposes of tissue storage THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 10 of section 4360 of the public health law, as added by chapter 589 of the laws of 1990, is amended to read as follows: 10. "Tissue" means a human eye, skin, bone, bone marrow, heart valve, spermatozoon, ova, EMBRYO, artery, vein, tendon, ligament, pituitary gland or a fluid other than blood or a blood derivative. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD02061-01-1
