PRETLOW -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Consumer Affairs and Protection AN ACT to amend the general business law, in relation to lease vehicle protections THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 396-z of the general business law is amended by adding a new subdivision 17 to read as follows: 17. EVERY LEASE SHALL ITEMIZE AND SET FORTH IN DETAIL ALL COSTS REQUIRED TO BE PAID BY THE LESSEE OR PURCHASER OF THE RENTAL VEHICLE UPON TERMINATION OF SUCH LEASE. § 2. This act shall take effect on the thirtieth day after it shall have become a law; provided, however, that subdivision 17 of section 396-z of the general business law, as added by section one of this act, shall survive the expiration and reversion of such section as provided in subdivision (a) of section 4 of chapter 109 of the laws of 2018.
