CLARK -- read once and referred to the Committee on Education AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to foundation aid payable in the two thousand twenty-one--two thousand twenty-two school year THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 4 of section 3602 of the education law is amended by adding a new paragraph i to read as follows: I. FOUNDATION AID PAYABLE IN THE TWO THOUSAND TWENTY-ONE--TWO THOUSAND TWENTY-TWO SCHOOL YEAR. AT A MINIMUM EVERY SCHOOL DISTRICT SHALL RECEIVE THE TOTAL FOUNDATION AID BASE, PLUS THE POSITIVE DIFFERENCE, IF ANY, OF THE PRODUCT OF TOTAL FOUNDATION AID AND SEVEN-TENTHS (0.7) LESS THE TOTAL FOUNDATION AID BASE. § 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2021. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD05548-01-1
