Sets the minimum amount of the foundation aid payable in the two thousand twenty-one--two thousand twenty-two school year at the total foundation aid base, plus the positive difference, if any, of the product of total foundation aid and seven-tenths (0.7) less the total foundation aid base.

   printed to be committed to the Committee on Education
 
 AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to foundation aid payable
   in the two thousand twenty-one--two thousand twenty-two school year
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Subdivision  4  of  section  3602 of the education law is
 amended by adding a new paragraph i to read as follows:
   I. FOUNDATION AID PAYABLE IN THE TWO THOUSAND TWENTY-ONE--TWO THOUSAND
 TWENTY-TWO SCHOOL YEAR. AT A MINIMUM EVERY SCHOOL DISTRICT SHALL RECEIVE
 THE TOTAL FOUNDATION AID BASE, PLUS THE POSITIVE DIFFERENCE, IF ANY,  OF
 THE  PRODUCT  OF  TOTAL  FOUNDATION  AID AND SEVEN-TENTHS (0.7) LESS THE
 TOTAL FOUNDATION AID BASE.
   § 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2021.
