CARROLL, FAHY, SIMON -- read once and referred to the Committee on Energy AN ACT directing the New York state energy research and development authority to establish a ride clean rebate program THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The New York state energy research and development authori- ty (NYSERDA) is hereby directed to establish a parallel program to the drive clean rebate program entitled the ride clean rebate program to permit class one, class two, and class three bicycles with an electric assist to be eligible for a fifty percent rebate, with a maximum rebate amount of one thousand one hundred dollars ($1,100). § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD03018-01-1

The New York state energy research and development authori- ty (NYSERDA) is hereby directed to establish a parallel program to the drive clean rebate program entitled the ride clean rebate program to permit class one, class two, and class three bicycles with an electric assist, as defined in section 102-c of the vehicle and traffic law, and electric scooters, as defined in section 114-e of the vehicle and traf- fic law, to be eligible for a fifty percent rebate, with a maximum rebate amount of one thousand one hundred dollars ($1,100). § 2.
