ANDERSON -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Cities AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to establishing the citywide leadership team THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Title 21-A of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new chapter 23-A to read as follows: CHAPTER 23-A LEADERSHIP TEAMS § 21-990.1 CITYWIDE LEADERSHIP TEAM. A. THERE SHALL BE ESTABLISHED A CITYWIDE LEADERSHIP TEAM CONSISTING OF A CHAIR OR CO-CHAIRS AND AT LEAST TWENTY-NINE REPRESENTATIVES. THE CHAIR OR CO-CHAIRS SHALL BE CHOSEN BASED ON THE BYLAWS DRAFTED BY THE CITYWIDE LEADERSHIP TEAM. ALL REPRE- SENTATIVES OR PROXIES OF SUCH REPRESENTATIVES SHALL BE PRESENT AT EACH MEETING. MEMBERS SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE FOLLOWING GROUPS IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER: 1. ONE REPRESENTATIVE SHALL BE SELECTED BY THE CHANCELLOR, IN CONSUL- TATION WITH THE FIRST DEPUTY CHANCELLOR, THE DEPUTY CHANCELLOR OF COMMU- NITY EMPOWERMENT, OTHER DEPUTY CHANCELLORS, AND EXECUTIVE SUPERINTEN- DENTS AS NEEDED; 2. ONE REPRESENTATIVE WHO IS A SENIOR OFFICIAL SHALL BE SELECTED BY THE COUNCIL OF SCHOOL SUPERVISORS AND ADMINISTRATORS; 3. ONE REPRESENTATIVE WHO IS A SENIOR OFFICIAL SHALL BE SELECTED BY THE UNITED FEDERATION OF TEACHERS; 4. ONE REPRESENTATIVE WHO IS A SENIOR OFFICIAL SHALL BE SELECTED BY THE DISTRICT COUNCIL THIRTY-SEVEN; 5. ONE REPRESENTATIVE WHO IS A SENIOR OFFICIAL SHALL BE SELECTED BY LOCAL TWO HUNDRED THIRTY-SEVEN; 6. SEVENTEEN PARENT REPRESENTATIVES, ONE OF WHICH MAY BE APPOINTED BY THE CHANCELLOR TO BE MEMBER-AT-LARGE, TO BE SELECTED AS FOLLOWS: EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted.
