BILL NUMBER: S463 SPONSOR: BIAGGI TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the mental hygiene law, in relation to requiring a certified dietitian on-site during hours of operation at a comprehensive care center for eating disorders PURPOSE OF BILL: This legislation will require a certified dietitian to be onsite at comprehensive care center for eating disorders during operating hours. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: Section 1 amends section 30.04 subdivision 1 of the Mental Hygiene law by adding a new paragraph 2-a to require that all comprehensive care centers for eating disorders have a certified dietitian. Section 2 sets forth the effective date.

BIAGGI -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Mental Health and Develop- mental Disabilities AN ACT to amend the mental hygiene law, in relation to requiring a certified dietitian on-site during hours of operation at a comprehen- sive care center for eating disorders THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision (a) of section 30.04 of the mental hygiene law is amended by adding a new paragraph 2-a to read as follows: 2-A. THE APPLICANT HAS A CERTIFIED DIETITIAN AS DEFINED IN SECTION EIGHT THOUSAND ONE OF THE EDUCATION LAW ON-SITE DURING HOURS OF OPERA- TION. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
