TEDISCO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Cultural Affairs, Tourism, Parks and Recreation AN ACT to amend the parks, recreation and historic preservation law, in relation to providing a fifty percent discount for state residents on admission fees to parks, recreational facilities or historic sites operated by the state office of parks, recreation and historic preser- vation for the 2022 season; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 13.15 of the parks, recreation and historic pres- ervation law is amended by adding a new subdivision 3-a to read as follows: 3-A. NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF SUBDIVISIONS THREE AND FOUR OF THIS SECTION OR OF ANY OTHER PROVISION TO THE CONTRARY, EACH RESIDENT OF THE STATE SHALL BE ENTITLED TO A DISCOUNT OF FIFTY PERCENT OFF TWO THOU- SAND TWENTY-TWO ADMISSION FEES, AS PUBLISHED BY APRIL FIRST, TWO THOU- SAND TWENTY-TWO, THAT SUCH RESIDENT WOULD OTHERWISE HAVE BEEN RESPONSI- BLE FOR PAYING TO OBTAIN ENTRY TO ANY PARK, RECREATIONAL FACILITY OR HISTORIC SITE. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall apply only to entry fees charged during 2022; provided that this act shall expire and be deemed repealed October 15, 2022.
