RAJKUMAR -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Labor AN ACT to amend the labor law, in relation to requiring employers to provide up to ten additional days of unpaid leave for absences due to domestic violence, a family offense, sexual offense, stalking or human trafficking THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 196-b of the labor law is amended by adding a new subdivision 15 to read as follows: 15. IN CASES OF SICK LEAVE, PAID OR UNPAID, PROVIDED PURSUANT TO SUBPARAGRAPH (III) OF PARAGRAPH A OF SUBDIVISION FOUR OF THIS SECTION, AN EMPLOYEE SHALL BE PROVIDED UP TO AN ADDITIONAL TEN DAYS OF UNPAID LEAVE UPON REQUEST FOR AN EXTENSION OF LEAVE BEYOND THE SICK LEAVE PROVIDED TO SUCH EMPLOYEE PURSUANT TO THIS SECTION. § 2.
