 AN ACT to amend the cannabis law, in relation to notice to elected offi-
   cials upon receipt of certain applications
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section  1.  Section 61 of the cannabis law is amended by adding a new
 subdivision 4 to read as follows:
   4. THE BOARD SHALL, WITHIN THIRTY DAYS OF THE RECEIPT OF  A  COMPLETED
 APPLICATION  FOR  AN ADULT-USE RETAIL DISPENSARY LICENSE OR AN ADULT-USE
 ON-SITE CONSUMPTION LICENSE, PROVIDE WRITTEN NOTICE TO  THE  MEMBERS  OF
 THE  STATE  ASSEMBLY  AND SENATE WHO REPRESENT THE DISTRICT IN WHICH THE
 PREMISES OF THE PROPOSED DISPENSARY OR ON-SITE CONSUMPTION ESTABLISHMENT
 IS LOCATED, THAT THE APPLICATION WAS RECEIVED BY THE BOARD.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately; provided that the  canna-
 bis  control board shall provide the notice required by subdivision 4 of
 section 61 of the cannabis law as added by section one of this  act  for
 any  completed  application which is pending as of the effective date of
 this act.
