 Introduced  by  Sen.  BAILEY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Govern-
   ment Operations
 
 AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to prohibiting  discrimi-
   nation during the appraisal of real property

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Subdivision 1 of  section  296  of  the  executive  law  is
 amended by adding a new paragraph (i) to read as follows:
   (I)  FOR  AN  APPRAISER  OF  REAL  PROPERTY, BECAUSE OF THE AGE, RACE,
 CREED, COLOR, NATIONAL ORIGIN, SEXUAL ORIENTATION,  GENDER  IDENTITY  OR
 EXPRESSION, MILITARY STATUS, SEX, DISABILITY, PREDISPOSING GENETIC CHAR-
 ACTERISTICS,  FAMILIAL  STATUS,  MARITAL STATUS OR STATUS AS A VICTIM OF
 DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OF ANY OWNER, RESIDENT OR  ANY  OTHER  INDIVIDUAL,  TO
 APPRAISE REAL PROPERTY AT A DIFFERENT VALUE.
   §  2.  This  act shall take effect on the thirtieth day after it shall
 have become a law.
