 AN  ACT  to  amend   the executive law, in relation to the creation of a
   public database of projects funded in the state budget

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The executive law is amended by adding a new section 184 to
 read as follows:
   §  184.  BUDGET-FUNDED  PROJECT DATABASE. THE STATE DIVISION OF BUDGET
 SHALL MAINTAIN A PUBLIC DATABASE OF ALL PROJECTS  FUNDED  IN  THE  STATE
 BUDGET  THAT  SHALL  INCLUDE THE DOLLAR AMOUNT ALLOCATED TO EACH PROJECT
 FUNDED IN THE BUDGET AND THE LAST NAME OF THE MEMBER OR MEMBERS  OF  THE
 LEGISLATURE  WHO  SUBMITTED THE FUNDING REQUEST FOR SUCH PROJECTS.  SUCH
 PUBLIC DATABASE SHALL BE PUBLISHED ONLINE  ON  THE  DIVISION  OF  BUDGET
 WEBSITE,  AND  SHALL  BE  UPDATED ANNUALLY UPON THE PASSAGE OF THE STATE
 BUDGET. SUCH PUBLIC DATABASE SHALL ALSO INCLUDE ANY FUNDS  ALLOCATED  TO
 PRIVATE  ORGANIZATIONS  WHICH  ARE  NOT  OTHERWISE  REQUIRED  BY  LAW TO
 DISCLOSE THE FUNDING SOURCES OF SUCH PRIVATE ORGANIZATIONS.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
