Youth agencies and assistance
General Municipal (GMU) CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 5
§ 95. Youth agencies and assistance. Any municipality as defined by
section two hundred forty of this chapter is hereby authorized and
empowered to establish, maintain and operate a bureau or agency thereof
for the purpose of coordinating and supplementing the activities of
public and private agencies devoted in whole or in part to the welfare
and protection of youth therein, and to undertake and promote activities
and establish, maintain and operate projects devoted in whole or in part
to providing leisure-time activities for youth or assistance to
children. Any municipality as defined by section two hundred forty of
this chapter may appropriate, raise and expend moneys for the purposes
of establishing, maintaining and operating such bureau or such agency,
and may also receive and expend moneys from the state, the federal
government or private individuals, corporations or associations for such
purposes.
