Padavan Opens Special Olympic Games In Queens

On Saturday morning, May 9th, New York State Senator Frank Padavan (Queens) helped open the Special Olympic Games at Victory Field in Forest Park. Padavan welcomed over 400 athletes from Queens who competed for medals in various track and field events and adaptive skill games. Hundreds of volunteers, family members and cheering spectators were on hand for the day filled with sports competitions. Senator Padavan greets athletes during the opening ceremony parade for the Special Olympic games in Queens.
