CAPITOL VISIT–A group of students, teachers, and parents from the Chemung Valley Montessori School in Big Flats visited the state Capitol on May 11th and met with State Senator George Winner (R-C-I).
In this photo, Senator Winner joined the group as it toured the inside of the New York State Capitol, a National Historic Landmark widely known as one of America’s most architecturally prized buildings.
Senator Winner visited the Montessori School in late April and discussed a number of current issues with many of the same students who recently visited Albany.
“I’m grateful that many of the students and their parents and teachers had this opportunity to get a firsthand look at the building where so many of the issues we talked about get decided,” said Senator Winner. “It’s an architecturally outstanding and historically significant landmark.”
