Senator Nozzolio Announces Grant for Interlaken Senior Apartments

Interlaken- Senator Mike Nozzolio announced today that that the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal has awarded $585,989 to the Village of Interlaken to construct 28 new affordable housing units. The new units will provide low-income housing to eligible seniors in Seneca County and the surrounding area.
“There is a great need for affordable senior housing in Interlaken and in Southern Seneca County,” Senator Nozzolio said, “Interlaken Senior Apartments is a great project that will provide quality and affordable housing for our seniors.”
Funding for the Interlaken Senior Apartments is part of more than $48 million awarded in federal Low Income Tax Credits and subsidies that were dedicated to construct and rehabilitate over 2,000 affordable housing units in New York State. The Interlaken apartments will provide seniors who are earning less than 50% of the area’s median income with quality housing options.
