Senator Mike Nozzolio will be hosting a discussion on the increased demands on our local food pantries and food banks as a result of the current economy. “Unfortunately, many of my constituents have been forced to seek assistance in meeting the nutritional needs of their families. As a result, there is a far greater need to replenish our local food banks and pantries with food and other nonperishable items, such as diapers, paper products, as well as food staples such a flour, sugar and canned goods.”
In response to this growing need, Senator Nozzolio will host a community meeting on Thursday, July 16th from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Center for Leadership Conference Center located at 603 South Main Street in Geneva. Seating is limited and those wishing to attend are asked to call Senator Nozzolio's Seneca Falls District Office at 1-888-568-9816 to register for the event.
Earlier this year Senator Nozzolio recognized kindergarten students at the Perkins Elementary School in Newark for their efforts to collect canned goods and other nonperishable items for the Newark Food Closet.
