Victor- Senator Michael Nozzolio recently visited REDCOM, a telecommunications company located in Victor, where he discussed the impact of the New York State budget on the company and its employees. Senator Nozzolio spoke about his efforts to reduce State spending and eliminate many of the taxes that were added to this year's state budget. The imposition of a new State tax on healthcare benefits prompted employees of REDCOM to ask Senator Nozzolio for help. Senator Nozzolio met with REDCOM President Klaus Gueldenpfennig and toured the facility as a part of his visit.
REDCOM employs over 200 people and has a global customer base. Senator Nozzolio discussed several issues of importance with REDCOM employees and participated in a question and answer session following his talk. “Through tax cuts and fostering business growth, we can allow the private sector- innovative companies like REDCOM- to lift us out of this recession,” said Senator Nozzolio.
Senator Nozzolio recently introduced legislation that would revoke some of the taxes and fees that were included in the 2009-2010 budget, including the 2% assessment on energy. You may sign Senator Nozzolio’s petition at www.senatornozzoliopetition.com to support his legislation. “This legislation is one small step in returning New York State to a place of business growth and great opportunity,” concluded Senator Nozzolio.
