Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, Cornwall-on-Hudson), a retired Lieutenant Colonel who served 23 years of active duty in the United States Army, today hosted the fifty-seventh annual "West Point Legislative Day" at the New York State Capitol in Albany.
"As an Army veteran, it is a tremendous honor to be able to introduce the New York State Senate to the officers and cadets from the United States Military Academy," said Senator Larkin. "These men and women have chosen to uphold the highest standards set by the Academy in all facets of their lives. They are one of our country’s greatest assets and I am honored to represent them in the Senate."
"During this time of war, it is imperative that we show our dedication and support to our men and women of the Armed Forces," said Senator Larkin. "These cadets are tomorrow's leaders and I feel it is important that they know that New York State supports them."
This year’s ceremonies mark the fifty-seventh year the State Legislature has honored the United States Military Academy at West Point.
