Many happy and excited community members, students, parents, and school personnel celebrated the official dedication of the Friendship Central School’s beautiful new classroom facilities and refurbished gymnasium. A sportsmanship statue was unveiled as part of the ceremonies. Sportsmanship essay contest winner Caylen Bednow (pictured right) earned the honor of being the model for the bronze figure that will be permanently displayed at the school. The statue was created by renowned artist David Poulin (pictured center). Mr. Poulin cast the bronze from a clay figure that was created by students under his supervion.
Renovations include the school's gym, which was totally gutted and remodeled with new lighting and heating, energy efficient windows, upgraded wiring and other structural upgrades. Other new major improvements include a wellness room, four classrooms, and an updated elementary school library. Congratulations!
