Alliance for Municipal Power

Representatives of the Alliance for Municipal Power, a coalition of 24 municipalities in St. Lawrence and Franklin Counties, were in Albany on April 20 to lobby the passage of a bill to create the North Country Power Authority, which would enable the municipalities to band together to buy and sell energy at a discount to residents in those municipalities.

Sen. Aubertine sponsored this legislation in the Senate, which passed on March 8.
