Your Refund Can't Wait

Taxpayers are struggling and in economic times like this, people use their income tax returns to pay rent, their heating bills, or put food on the table.

New Yorkers need their government to ease the pressure, not add to it.The Governor’s proposal to delay income tax returns would only punish New Yorkers who pay their taxes on time and in full, and just want the return they deserve.

There is a big difference between making tough decisions and bad decisions—this proposal is just plain wrong.

I am working with colleagues from both sides of the aisle to reverse this proposal and enact a prudent state budget which controls spending, provides relief to taxpayers, and protects vital services keeping families afloat.
