STATE, LOCAL OR TRIBAL EMERGENCY OPERATION CENTERS
Fiscal Year 2010 Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Grant Program
The purpose of this Request for Applications is to solicit applications
for federal grant funding made available from the U.S. Department
of Homeland Security's Fiscal Year 2010 Emergency Operations
Center (EOC) Grant Program (Program) through the New York
State Office of Homeland Security (OHS). This Program provides
funding intended to improve emergency management and preparedness
capabilities by supporting flexible, sustainable, secure and
interoperable EOCs with a focus on identified deficiencies and needs.
To be considered for funding, eligible EOCs must be a primary
State, local or tribal Emergency Operations Center located in the State
of New York. Recognizing the limited amount of competitive funding
available in FY 2010, consideration will be given to EOC projects that
are not already receiving prior years' EOC Grant Program and/or
Emergency Management Performance Grants (EMPG) Program
funding.
Funds must be spent in compliance with rules and regulations noted
in the Federal EOC Guidance and Application Kit.
Applications will be accepted through 11:59 pm January 25, 2010
through the State's electronic grants management system (E-Grants).
For grant guidance, application requirements and instructions,
contact: Office of Homeland Security at the above address, or call
1-866-837-9133 or e-mail: grants@security.state.ny.us
