Padavan, Poppenhusen Institute Sponsor Family Fun Day in College Point

New York State Senator Frank Padavan (Queens) in partnership with the Poppenhusen Institute sponsored the first annual Family Fun Day at MacNeil Park in College Point on Sunday afternoon July 11, 2010. The event featured fun games and educational programs by the Alley Pond Environmental Center, the Long Island Children Museum, the Fire Department of New York and the NYC Coalition of Transportation. Children and their families enjoyed a ventriloquist performance, inflatable bouncy bounces, sand and bubble art, face painting and various other arts and crafts. A free community concert featuring Groupo Latino followed the afternoon of family-friendly activities at MacNeil Park.   Poppenhusen Institute Executive Director Susan Brustman, Otto the Clown and Senator Padavan with a local family at Family Fun Day MacNeil Park in College Point.
