NEW YORK- On Saturday, March 20th, Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) gave a $100,000 grant to the Immaculate Conception School during its fifth annual Father-Daughter Dinner Dance. The school will use the money to build a new parish gymnasium. Immaculate Conception School Principal Maureen Harten, Immaculate Conception Parish Pastor Father Eric Raaser, The Home School Association President Susan Tiso, nearly 100 parents, students, staff and clergy members joined Klein as he presented the grant.
Immaculate Conception opened 100-years-ago and it never has had a gymnasium. Around 1100 children, community groups, school staff and parishioners will use the new gymnasium.
