Senator Klein will give $10,000 to the Riverdale Community Center for its daily after school programs
NEW YORK- Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) presented a $10,000 grant on Saturday, March 6th, to the Riverdale Community Center during its annual Multicultural Show. The money will be used for its middle and high school after school programs which currently help about two hundred students. The middle school program offers art, dance, tutoring, homework help and a variety of other classes. The high school program prepares students for their professional future through resume building classes, interview preparation and career awareness programs. Without the grant, the community center would have to reduce its programs.
