New York State Senator John A. DeFrancisco made a $100 contribution to Katie Stewart, a local girl scout from Brewerton, New York. Under the leadership of Katie’s mother, Kelly Stewart, Katie and other girls in her Brownie Troop are collecting donations to send cookies to members of armed forces who are currently serving abroad. This is the third consecutive year that Katie and her fellow Brownies have made such a charitable effort. With the help of Senator DeFrancisco and others in the community, Katie will be able to send several cases of cookies to members of the 174th Fighter Wing, which is stationed at Hancock Field in Syracuse, New York. They will be accepting donations until March 21st.
