The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce has been honoring dedicated and committed business owners and community members of Sullivan County for 19 years at their annual Pride Awards Gala. Each township is asked to nominate a business or community member they believe should be honored as the "Pride" of their township, whether it's a long-running business, a new business or a committed and dedicated community member. In addition to the "Pride" Awards there are four county-wide winners selected for Business Person of the Year, Distinguished Achievement, Distinguished Service and new for the year 2010, the Young Emerging Leader Award. The committee members, comprising of Past Business Persons of the Year and the Chamber President and CEO, then carefully select these recipients based on their commitment and dedication to Sullivan County.
