Senator Kenneth P. LaValle (center) was honored to be welcomed as a member of the New York Farm Bureau’s “Circle of Friends” in recognition of his voting record and legislative support of the agricultural community during the 2009 Legislative Session. Joe Gergela (left), Executive Director of the Long Island Farm Bureau, and Frank Beyrodt, Jr., Vice President of the Long Island Farm Bureau Board of Directors, applauded Senator LaValle’s efforts on behalf of the farm families at the Senator’s annual Environmental Roundtable.
The New York Farm Bureau is the state’s largest general farm advocacy organization. The group named Senator LaValle a member of the 2009 “Circle of Friends” for his understanding of issues that are important to the agricultural communities in his district and the industry’s impact on the local and state economy. Senator LaValle has long-been an advocate for Long Island’s agricultural industry and took great pride in being honored for his continued efforts to protect and preserve our region’s farming legacy.
