Dear Friend,
‘Tis the season for decorating, shopping, writing cards, wrapping, baking and other tasks that make us all extremely busy, but I hope you are able to find joy and peace by spending quality time with your loved ones.
It is a time to give, reflect and feel grateful, and I want you to know how much I sincerely treasure the honor of being your state Senator. You may have heard me say over the past couple years that we need to change the direction of the state so that we can have hope, opportunity and prosperity once again. The great news is that we accomplished a great deal during 2011, and now I feel a tremendous amount of optimism. Although we have much further to go, finally, the state is headed in the right direction.
It is those such as you who help make a difference.
People who live in my communities have a tradition of reaching out and helping neighbors, especially in times of need. That generosity, compassion and caring is what makes our region so special, and I sincerely thank you for all that you do. By far, I am lucky enough to represent the best part of New York State.
I send my warmest wishes to you and your family for a Merry Christmas and a 2012 filled with healthy and happiness!
All my best,
Senator Cathy Young
