If anyone in your home uses life support equipment such as an apnea monitor or oxygen concentrator, contact Orange and Rockland before the storm.
Stock up on food, water and if necessary, prescriptions.
Charge your cell phone. Store the numbers to report flooding or power outages in your phone.
Learn how to manually open and close your garage door.
Fill your tank.
Bring in lawn furniture, children’s toys and other large, loose objects.
Stay home during the storm. Leave the road clear for emergency vehicles.
Stay clear of and report downed power lines to the Utility company.
