State Farm Insurance Donates $20,000 to Staten Island 1st Responders

Senator Diane Savino Lauds State Farm Insurance Company for donating $10,000 to the all volunteer Port Richmond Crisis Emergency Response Team or CERT and the all volunteer Metropolitan Fire Company for their efforts assisting NYPD, FDNY and Staten Island residents in need during Hurricane Irene. Metro Fire Dept. and Port Richmond CERT pumped out basements of affected residents and cut trees threatening to cut power lines or topple onto homes and cars. The grant money will go to replace chainsaws, stretchers and others equipment as well as training for the next disaster CERT and Metro Fire Dept. will prepare for.
