On Sunday, April 10, Senator Jack M. Martins, who is chair of the Senate Standing Committee on Local Governments, had the honor and privilege of swearing in Village of Saddle Rock Mayor J. Leonard Samansky for another term.
Mayor Samansky has served the village since 1984, when he was a member of the Board of Zoning and Appeals. He then served as trustee for four terms before becoming mayor in 1991. Mayor Samansky currently serves as the president of the Great Neck Village Officials Association.
"It was my honor to swear in Mayor Samansky. He was been an oustanding mayor for a number of years in an exceptional village. I also want to wish the Village of Sadle Rock a happy 100th anniversary. The village has a rich history and is a wonderful place to live," said Senator Martins.
