On Saturday, June 4th, I had the honor to participate in Opening Day activities for the Rochester Hispanic Youth Baseball League. The Opening Day ceremony was dedicated to the memory of Staff Sgt. Javier O. Ortiz, who was killed while on active duty as a United State Marine serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Ortiz's children threw out the opening pitch.
