Addressing Sanitation Issues at ST-PCV

On September 20, I sent a letter to Adam Rose of Rose Associates—the managing agent for Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village (ST-PCV)—regarding tenant’s complaints of trash left for days on the sidewalks throughout the complex prior to scheduled New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) pickups.
When I called Mr. Rose to discuss this issue, he detailed steps that Rose Associates had taken to address it, including lifting restrictions on days during the week when tenants can bring bulk items to designated drop-off locations; developing a system for reporting unauthorized dumps immediately through an email to a “Bulk Team” dedicated to bulk removal; and continuing to review security camera footage to identify and issue fines to those who illegally discard their trash. As always, I remain ready willing and able to facilitate a meeting between management and the ST-PCV Tenants Association to address this or any other matter.
Please continue to report your concerns about sanitation or any other issues affecting ST-PCV to my office so that we may follow up on your behalf and ensure that they are addressed.
