CONFIRMATION PROCESS--Senator O'Mara questions Joe Martens, Governor Andrew Cuomo's nominee to head the state Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), at a meeting of the Senate Environmental Conservation Committee in early March. The full Senate confirmed Mr. Martens as DEC's new commissioner on March 9th.
