Encouraging Aspiring Women Attorneys to Be Involved in Government

Senator Stewart-Cousins spoke to a group of high school-aged aspiring female attorneys at the Summer Justice Academy for Young Women sponsored by Pace Law School and the New York Chapter of the National Association of Women Judges. The Senator spoke to the students about the legislative process and the importance of voting.
In its fourth year, the Summer Justice Academy for Young Women brings 50 disadvantaged high school girls from Westchester and New York City to Pace Law School for two weeks and inspires them to pursue educational opportunities that will lead to careers in the law.
