Senator Stewart-Cousins Introduces Governor Cuomo at Westchester Budget Bill Signing Ceremony

Senator Stewart-Cousins introduced Governor Andrew Cuomo at a ceremonial signing of the 2012 New York State Budget at Manhattanville College in Purchase. The Governor visited Westchester as part of a statewide tour and asked Senator Stewart-Cousins to introduce him before he signed the Budget into law.
In her remarks, Senator Stewart-Cousins said the budget includes critical investments in a broad range of issues of concern to all New Yorkers. She praised Governor Cuomo for his leadership and ability to move his agenda forward.
“We have a budget that not only is balanced and fair and underscores our priorities, but it puts us in a place where we can indeed be the Empire State and I think this Governor has more than shown that he can work across the aisle and make sure things happen,” said the Senator at the event.
