Speaking to Constituents at a Meet and Greet in Yonkers
Andrea Stewart-Cousins
February 23, 2012
Senator Stewart-Cousins and Westchester County Board Chairman, Ken Jenkins, hosted a “Coffee and Conversation” meet and greet at the Yonkers Riverfront Library. With over eighty people in attendance, topics covered included: education funding, support for Kinship caregivers, the overall legislative process, healthcare and local issues of concern to residents. The Senator has previously hosted “Coffee and Conversation” events in Mt. Pleasant and Greenburgh with the local County Legislators.
“It is critical for me to hear from residents as it helps to shape my goals as a Senator, and assist in my fight for what matters to the people in our communities. The Coffee and Conversation meetings are a convenient way for people to discuss state and county issues that impact them. Thanks to all for coming and stay tuned for the next one,” said Senator Stewart-Cousins.
