Keene Trumpeter Sam Balzac Recognized in Albany

   Sam Balzac, an 11^th grader at Keene Central School, was in Albany recently performing in the All-State Jazz Band as part of the New York State School Music Association’s (NYSSMA) “Music in our Schools Month” celebration.  Balzac plays the trumpet and flugelhorn.  Pictured from left are: Senator Betty Little; Sam; his mom, Kathleen Recchia; and Daryle Redmond, the NYSSMA Zone 6 representative.
