Everyone was very excited that on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, Olympic Gold Medalist Jenn Suhr returned to Fredonia to demonstrate her pole-vaulting skills for her hometown community. In the process, she set a world record for the highest jump for the year. She cleared 4.83 meters which is slightly more than 15 feet, 10 inches.
