Sally Marsh holds a proclamation from Senator Young recognizing her for 41 years as coordinator of the weekly Hootenanny at Allegany State Park. The Hootenanny takes place every Thursday during the summer and started as an opportunity for park visitors to enjoy music around a campfire. The event has grown in popularity and has moved to the Quaker area Amphitheater to accommodate the hundreds of participants. Sally Marsh brings her enthusiastic love of music to the event. Her interaction with the crowd of young children, teens, parents and retirees results in hours of singing, acting, dancing and clapping.
