FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NYS SENATOR ERIC ADAMS AND CIVIL RIGHTS LAWYER NORMAN SIEGEL JOINED HUNDREDS OF NEW YORKERS TO CREATE A HUMAN CHAIN ACROSS THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE TO DENOUNCE GUN VIOLENCE
State Senator Eric Adams, Civil Rights Lawyer Norman Siegel, elected officials, union leaders and concerned New Yorkers formed a human chain across the length of the Brooklyn Bridge, symbolically showing opposition to gun violence and to demand stronger gun control laws.
Enough is enough: from Columbine to Virginia Tech to Aurora – and now Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. It is time for New Yorkers and all Americans to call for action to stop the gun violence that is eating away at America.
New Yorkers gathered and joined hands on the Brooklyn Bridge to denounce the killings that occurred at the Sandy Hook Elementary School and the ever prevalent gun violence in our communities.
Hundreds of New Yorkers linked hand in hand on this historic venue will send a visible and immediate message to our elected officials in the White House, Congress and State Capitols that the time to act against gun violence is NOW.
