MEDIA ADVISORY--- NYS SENATORS JOHN SAMPSON AND ERIC ADAMS WILL SUPPLY THE CANARSIE COMMUNITY WITH A MOBILE COMMAND CENTER AND GENERATORS TO ALLOW RESIDENTS TO CHARGE THEIR CELLULAR PHONES AND OTHER COMMUNICATION DEVICES
NYS Senators John Sampson and Eric Adams will hold a press conference in Canarsie, Brooklyn, to announce that they will coordinate with volunteer organizations to bring a mobile command center to the area. The legislators will make the command center and portable generators available for neighborhood residents to charge their cellular phones and other communication devices.
Canarsie was hit hard by the recent storm, and many areas are without electricity. Senator Adams states, “Cellular phones and other communication devices have become the primary form of communicating with the outside world. It is our goal to give the residents an opportunity to recharge their devices while Con Edison returns the system to normal.” The two legislators will also announce a clothing drive for the families that were impacted in the Brooklyn area.
