Statement from NYS Senator Eric Adams on Mayor Bloomberg’s statement regarding police officers going on strike
Eric Adams
July 26, 2012
Senator Adams’ statement:
"Mayor Bloomberg's comments are irresponsible. Criminals do not go on strike. The men and women who don the police uniform daily took an oath of office to protect and serve citizens, to enforce the laws of our country, state and city, and to uphold our constitution, all of which is not dependent on any political agenda. To even suggest that police officers across this country should go on strike will create the perception of despair. Bloomberg should not send a signal of hopelessness to the American public."
