Community Day in Elmont was a huge success as Senator Jack Martins and BET's 106 and Park television star DJ Monumental handed out free school supplies to children and talked about the importance of education this past Saturday. Hundreds streamed into the Family Life Worship Center where Bishop Cox, Senator Martins and the congregation sponsored free children's dental screenings, a blood drive, child and senior id kits and much more. "Community Day was such a huge success and I can't thank Bishop Cox and DJ Monumental for their special efforts for our community's young people," said Senator Martins. DJ Monumental said, "I love spending time in my hometown and giving back to the community. The school supply give-away and all the events for our young people were spectacular. Teaming up with Senator Martins and Bishop Cox on Community Day was an honor- not to mention alot of fun."
