On May 17, 2012, State Senator John A. DeFrancisco helped celebrate the first-ever Veterans Build through Syracuse Habitat for Humanity. The two houses, located at 113 and 115 Fitch Street, were built for disabled veterans, Mike Smith and Felicia Plunkett. They are affordable, energy efficient, and handicap accessible.
