The LONG ISLAND STATE’S VETERANS HOME - in conjunction with the Suffolk County Veterans Service Agency - is hosting a free BENEFITS & RESOURCES EVENT FOR VETERANS
Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 1 pm to 4 pm
at the Long Island State Veterans Home located at 100 Patriots Road in Stony Brook
on the campus of Stony Brook University Hospital (follow the signs)

The event will include representatives from the
Suffolk County Veterans Services Agency
Suffolk County Office of the Aging
Suffolk County Department of Social Services
The Mental Health Alliance
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at Calverton
VA Homeless Veterans Services, legal counsel regarding Aid & Attendance benefits, financial benefits representatives, and other service and health care providers will be present.
Onsite enrollment for health benefits will be available, as well as on-site photo IDs, resources for the new generation of veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan, and information on the new Brookhaven Town job search tool (jobhaven.org) will be available.
Representatives from these and other agencies will be available to answer your questions and provide information regarding services and benefits available to veterans and their families from the greatest generation to the latest generation of those recently discharged.
